Brighton

Brighton is at that really fun age where I can set him down and he is happy to crawl and explore for hours. He has also found our corner cabinet that holds all the kids plastic dishes. He loves to pull EVERYTHING out.

I'm always yelling out, "Where's Brighton?!" if he's not under my feet. Trying to keep the house baby proof with four older siblings is a challenge.

He has also started trying to fly. Here he is right before take off:

Brighton's First Cracker

Brighton got a bite of his first cracker today. It's so nice when they can actually pick up things and put it in their own mouth all on their own. (Unless it is a Lego, penny, hair barrette, or some other no-no.)

Brighton picked it right up and took a bite.

"Hmm...what's this, mommy?"

"Are you sure about this? Do you realize I'm eating something?"

"Let me look it over really good.

You're not tricking me to get me to eat something healthy, are you?"

"Look what mom gave me Lucy! I bet you wish you had one!

If only my cousin Patrick could see me. Who's the big boy now?!"

"Oh yeah! That's hitting the spot!"

"I wonder how many pieces I can fit in my mouth at once?"

"Yummy. I love my mommy! She gives me crackers!"

Baby Wonders- spitting up

OK. I'm on kid #5 and you would have thought that I had seen it all, but yesterday the baby spit up on his outfit and it changed the color almost like it had been bleached! The blue turned purple and the light blue turned pink. What's up with that?! No wonder kids have problems. What are they putting in their cereal?
